Wi-Fi Access
OJD Guest Wi-Fi is provided by the Oregon Judicial Department. The OJD Guest Wi-Fi is a free service provided by Salem and may fluctuate due to the number of users and bandwidth being utilized around the entire state. The Court does not provide technical, software or other support services to any user, either in the courtroom or the lobby.
Video Conference
If you wish to use the court’s video conferencing system for a court appearance, you must file a written request with the court at least two business days prior to the hearing or trial date. The court utilizes WebEx for courtroom appearances, if you cannot use WebEx for any reason, at least ten days advance notice is required. The written request must include:
- Case name and case number
- Date and time of testimony
- Contact name, Phone number, and Email address
- Reason for requesting remote appearance
If you are connecting using alternative methods to WebEx, arrangements should be made to test the connection between parties prior to the court date. The requesting party must make advanced arrangements between the Court and external site by sending an email Linn Calendaring here with all applicable details. Please allow up to two weeks between the date of the request and the time of hearing for this testing to take place, otherwise we cannot guarantee docket time to test a connection.
Please not that the Court will not provide a local IP address. If you cannot utilize WebEx and require testing an alternate source you will need to provide your IP address and have it approved by our Enterprise Information Security Office before we can facilitate a video conference connection.
Courtroom Presentations
The Court can accommodate a laptop for courtroom presentations such as power point presentations. Each courtroom has an HDMI port to plug in a laptop or other device utilizing an adapter. Please note that because of a wide variety of different hardware and software options, not all technology may naturally interface with our system. If you are unsure about connecting to the courtroom system, please contact Linn Calendaring to set up a time to test your technology. Parties are responsible for arranging for their own technical support relating to laptop connections, resolution requirements and application performance.
External Media Storage
The Court cannot accept Flash Drives, Zip Drives, SD Cards, CDs, DVDs, or other media to play in our systems. For security reasons if you have evidence on any media storage device you will have to find a way to play it utilizing your own device.
