The health and safety of all patrons and employees of the Linn County Circuit Court is of the utmost importance to the court. We are maintaining regular communication with our state and local public health and emergency management professionals to monitor the developing situation with COVID-19. In partnership with our state and local preparedness partners, we have developed a comprehensive response plan. We are taking all necessary and available measures to maintain a safe and sanitary space for all employees and patrons of our court.

Effective March 16, 2020 until further notice, the Linn County Circuit Court is under Level 3 Restrictions by the Chief Justice and subject to reduced hours and services. For the health and safety of our patrons and employees, we strongly encourage citizens to use online and telephonic resources when available. 

  • Court staff is available by phone 8am-noon and 1pm-4pm for assistance. We urge citizens to call first before travelling to the courthouse.
  • The lobby will be open from 8-9am for essential services; in-person assistance or document review for non-essential matters may be extremely limited or unavailable.

  • Documents can be filed through OJD iForms online, in the drop box in the door of Room 107, or by mail. We will contact you if necessary or to collect payment.

Linn County is in the center of the Willamette Valley, with the Willamette River as its western boundary and the crest of the Cascades as its eastern boundary. The current courthouse was built in 1940 adjacent to earlier courthouses. Linn County consists of five elected circuit court judges.

New case filings, fee deferrals, and fee waivers are accepted M - F (excluding legal holidays): 8am - 4:30pm
