Why should someone participate in the Treatment Court Program?

The Treatment Court Program is an intensive supervision and substance abuse program. The program requires daily activities, because recovery from substance abuse is a daily activity. Treatment Court is a good fit for you if you want a life free from substance abuse, you want a program that will provide extensive supports through the process of recovery, and you may gain the possibility of your criminal charges being dismissed or reduced.

Program History

The 6th Judicial Treatment Court Program launched in August 2018. The former program, Umatilla County Drug Court, ended in June 2017. The Treatment Court Program is a 19-month long program for individuals that have committed crimes driven by substance use and have been sentenced to probation. The program provides intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, frequent drug testing, weekly court sessions, and community-based supports to help individuals live a life free from substance abuse. The Treatment Court Program is a collaborative effort between many agencies including: 6th Judicial District Circuit Court, Umatilla County District Attorney, Intermountain Public Defenders, Umatilla County Community Corrections, Morrow County Community Corrections, Community Counseling Solutions, and Department of Human Services-Child Welfare.
