Drop Box Locations (Documents and payments must be submitted in the county where the specific case is filed):

Pendleton: Outside Room 230 on the 2nd Floor; available between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on business days.

Hermiston: North Wall outside the main entrance of the courthouse; available at any time.

Heppner: In the back covered entrance of the courthouse; available at any time.

In person appearance required unless remote appearance is specifically allowed.
All appearances are assumed to require in person appearance unless the hearing notice specifically schedules the docket for remote appearance or if a judge has specifically allowed a party to appear remotely on the record or by written order.

NOTE: Drop boxes are available at each location to accept public walk-in payments and filings (available at any time in Heppner and Hermiston; in Pendleton the box is available from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM on days the courts are open); documents received by 5:00 PM will be date stamped as received the business day they are deposited.

Please include a case number for all payments and documents to be filed in existing cases. Include a stamped, self-addressed envelope if you wish the court to mail a receipt.

Courtrooms and public service counters are open during normal business hours. Documents and payments can also be placed in the dropbox outside Room 230 on the 2nd Floor between 8 AM and 5 PM on business days.

Courthouse Information/History:
The current Umatilla County Courthouse was built in 1956 on the site where the courthouse has stood since 1888. The original clock from the 1880s was restored and placed in a new clock tower in 1989 after sitting in a city warehouse for nearly 30 years. The courtrooms and court offices are located on the 2nd floor of the courthouse. Most Umatilla County Circuit Court documents can be filed either at this location or at the Hermiston location. You must pass through a security check point to enter the 2nd floor of this building.

Umatilla County Courthouse - Hermiston 

​Starting Monday, July 10, 2023, Hermiston Courtrooms and Public Service Windows are once again open during normal business hours. Documents and payments can also be placed in the drop box located on the North Wall outside the main entrance of the courthouse at any time, eFiled (by authorized users), or delivered to the Pendleton location, or mailed.

Courthouse Information/History:
The Stafford Hansell Government Center was dedicated in April 2006 after a fire destroyed the previous Hermiston court facilities in February 2005. This location is the second full service circuit court location in Umatilla County. The courtrooms and court offices are located on the 2nd floor. Most Umatilla County Circuit Court documents can be filed either at this location or at the Pendleton location. You must pass through a security check point to enter the 2nd floor courtrooms of this building.

Morrow County Courthouse 

​Courtrooms and Public Service windows are open during normal business  hours. Documents and payments can also be placed in the drop box located in the back covered entrance of the courthouse, eFiled (by authorized users), or mailed.

The Morrow County Courthouse was built in 1902 – 1903 and is one of the oldest continuously used courthouses in the State of Oregon. The courtrooms and court offices are located on the 2nd floor. All Morrow County Circuit Court documents can be filed at this location. You must pass through a security check point to enter the 2nd floor of this building when court is in session.
