Court Records Requests

Copies of audio recordings will be electronically transferred using digital technology through a secure website. The court uses a digital recording system called “For The Record” (FTR), which is a proprietary system. To play to the recordings you will need the free FTR Player which can be downloaded from http://www.fortherecord.com/​. (At this time FTR software is not Apple compatible.)  Audio transcripts may be requested by calling the court or submitting an audio request form (listed below).  There is a $10.00 fee that must be paid to the court before your request will be completed. Please allow 7 days for all audio requests. 

Please submit the following form by email, mail, fax or in person to room 202 of the Lincoln County Courthouse. Addresses and numbers are listed on the form. 


If making a request by phone please be prepared with the following information:

  • Case Number
  • Parties’ name or case name
  • Date of proceeding (time if known)
  • Type of proceeding
  • Judge or courtroom


​Court records that are not confidential or sealed are available to the public on kiosks located on the second floor of the Lincoln County Courthouse. Kiosks are open from 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday - Friday. There is no charge to use the kiosks. Kiosks can be used to immediately access public cases from approximately 2008 to the present.  To viewing older case records, please submit a request (form listed below)  to the court, and allow 3 business days for digitizing the file.  The Court will contact you once the file has been digitized and you can come to the court and view the file on the public kiosks. 

Paper or digital copies of court records may be requested by calling the court or submitting the record request form (listed below).  There is a fee of .25 cents per page for paper copies (plus mailing if not picking up in person). An additional $5.00 fee is applied for certified copies. All electronic copies (delivered by email) are a $3.00 flat fee. Please allow 72 hours for all requests.

Adoptions are confidential. Recent changes to Oregon law allow some people access to certain court adoption records without a court order. Others must get a court adoption cases order to access adoption records.
