If any of the following reasons apply and you request to be excused, the Court must grant the request:
The Court will weigh the basis for your excuse against its need for jurors. You must show good cause to the Court why you should be excused under these standards. The Court may deny a request for excuse under (a) or (b) above and require you to serve or defer your jury duty to a later date.
All requests to be excused must be in writing explaining the nature of the condition, undue hardship, or extreme inconvenience that requires you to be excused. In cases in which you are not excused, we may likely defer your term of service to a date not more than one year from your original summons.
