The Oregon Supreme Court conducts argument in-person. Attorneys must check-in at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the oral argument session during which their case is scheduled to be heard.
Under ORAP 6.30(3), a party may file a motion requesting remote argument no later than 21 days before the schedules date of oral argument.
If an attorney is not present at the time the case is called, the Court may deem that party's argument waived. If an emergency prevents an attorney from appearing, they should advise the Court as soon as possible by calling the courtroom clerk directly at 503-986-5638. Alternatively, attorneys may contact Appellate Court Records at 503-986-5555 ext. 70250.
