Washington County Circuit Court Pretrial Release Services
The Washington County Circuit Court Pretrial Release Office is located at the Law Enforcement Center, 215 SW Adams Ave., Hillsboro, Oregon 97123. Individuals arrested and charged with a crime who are deemed not releasable on their own recognizance are arraigned the following business day. A pretrial release decision is typically made at the time of the arraignment. Release officers will conduct an in-person interview with the Adult in Custody (AIC) to create a pretrial release recommendation for the court to consider.

The Court Release Office assists the public with requests to change release conditions, report violations of release conditions, update contact information, and requests to be a Responsible Third Party.
Forms are available at our office at the Law Enforcement Center. Please note that all forms must be submitted in-person at the Pretrial Court Release Office customer service window. You should bring a valid form of identification when you come to the Court Release Office if you have one.
Violations of pretrial release conditions can be reported to the court by completing a written and sworn statement (affidavit) about your knowledge of the violation. Forms are available at the customer service window. The affidavit is a sworn statement and must be signed in the presence of a notary public or a Court Release Officer. The Court Release Officer will review the alleged violation to determine if a hearing is necessary or a warrant should be requested. Responsible Third Party applications are completed at the Court Release Office located at the Law Enforcement Center, 215 SW Adams Ave., Hillsboro, Oregon 97123. Anyone interested in being a responsible third party must complete an application and have a valid Oregon Identification Card or Oregon driver's license. In some instances, a Washington state ID or driver's license will be accepted. A Court Release Officer will do a criminal history check. An applicant with criminal history in the past 5 years is unlikely to be approved. The application form is available at the customer service window at the Law Enforcement Center.
Security Release may be ordered. Typically, 10% of the amount required must be paid before the defendant is eligible for release. Security is paid to the Washington County Jail Records Office, 215 SW Adams Ave., Hillsboro, Oregon 97123. The office is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Electronic Monitoring services are provided by Vigilnet. If GPS or alcohol monitoring has been ordered by the court as a condition of release you will need to contact Vigilnet at 888-381-8881 to arrange for an installation appointment. GPS bracelet installation is required to happen the same day as release from custody. Vigilnet has three office locations in the tri-county area.
