Submitting Exhibits in Lane County Circuit Court

1. Prepare Your Exhibits

In person hearing


  • Documents and images: Print or put on a flash drive (PDF, JPEG, PNG, BMP) and bring to court
  • Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A
  • Video: MP4, MPEG, WMV

If none of these options work for you, bring your own device and adapter to display your evidence. The court provides HDMI connections only.

IMPORTANT! You cannot use your smartphone to show evidence to the judge. All digital evidence must be submitted on a USB flash drive.

Remote hearing


Put everything on a flash drive

  • Video: MP4, MPEG, WMV

The court will scan all USB flash drives for viruses before any court staff accesses them. If a virus is found, the device will be destroyed and you will need to submit your evidence again.

2. Fill Out Your Exhibit List

You must label all exhibits and prepare an exhibit list.

  • The petitioner should number exhibits using 1-99
  • The respondent should use 101-199

3. Make Copies for the Other Parties

The other parties in your case have the right to see your exhibits. You should provide copies to them along with a copy of your Exhibit List prior to the proceeding.

WARNING! If you do not do this, the judge may not be able to look at your exhbiits.

4. File Your Exhibit List with the Court

In person hearing


There is no fee to file exhibits.

Bring your Exhibit List, exhibits, and copies for th eother parties on the day of your hearing.

Remote hearing


There is no fee to file exhibits.

You must file your Exhibit List and exhibits with the court at least two days before your hearing.

The court will scan your USB drive for viruses and send your exhibits to the judge.
