Mental Health Court (MHC) is coordinated by Deschutes County Behavioral Health and is closely monitored by the Court under the direction of the Mental Health Court Judge.

Domestic Violence Deferred Sentencing Program

The Domestic Violence Deferred Sentencing Program is an opportunity for eligible offenders to have their plea vacated and case dismissed in exchange for an upfront guilty plea and the successful completion of a Court monitored treatment program and minimum of 18 months of probation supervision.  The treatment expectations include attending appropriate classes to prevent future violence as well as any other services identified to address conditions that may be linked to the offender’s violent behavior.  The Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office offers the program to eligible offenders.  Offenders who are interested in this program should talk with their attorney regarding potential eligibility and the potential benefits and risks associated with participation.
