Drug Court

Mission Statement

The mission of the Josephine County Adult Drug Court is to promote public safety by reducing recidivism and criminal activity, providing for individuals to receive substance abuse treatment, assisting with the stability of the family unit and encouraging continued sobriety and community values.
 
Josephine County Drug Court was established in 1996. The Josephine County Drug Court is a court-supervised, comprehensive, chemical dependence treatment program primarily for high risk/high needs adult drug offenders. The Drug Court Team is made up of the Drug Court Judge, Deputy District Attorney, Public Defender, and representative from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Probation Officer, Treatment Provider, and Drug Court Coordinator. Program eligibility is determined by the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office based upon policy criteria. This voluntary out-patient program is a minimum of twelve months and centers on regular court appearance before the Drug Court Judge.

  • Education (GED, further education, etc.)
  • Family involvement
  • Peer support
  • Probation Supervision
  • Community service involvement
