General Information
Columbia County Circuit Court offers options for attending hearings remotely. If a hearing is open to the public, it may be attended:
- In person
- By video using WebEx
- By phone

Important: Audio, video, or photographic recording - whether in person or remote - is not allowed without prior approval from the Trial Court Administrator.
If you are unsure if a hearing is public or want to ask about recording permissions, please call the court at 503-397-2327.

Information for Case Participants
Your hearing notice will tell you:
- Whether your hearing is in person or remote
- How to join by video (WebEx link)
- How to join by phone (call-in number and access code)
If you're unsure how to appear, please contact the court as soon as possible at 503-397-2327.
Requesting to Appear Remotely
Some hearings are in-person only. If you are required to appear in person and you want to appear by phone or video, you must file a Motion and Order for Telephonic or Video Appearance (PDF).
You can submit the form:
- Electronically through OJD eFile
- In person at the courthouse
- By mail
Be sure to file your request early enough to give the judge time to review it before your hearing.
