Extern & Law Clerk Opportunities

The Oregon Tax Court is pleased to offer extern opportunities for both law students and paralegal program students. The number of law student externships offered varies from one or two in the fall term to as many as four during the summer term. One paralegal externship is offered at a time. See the corresponding description and application information below.

The Magistrate Division of the Oregon Tax Court employs limited duration law clerks in the same manner as the Oregon appellate and some circuit courts. However, due to its smaller size, the Tax Court opens its law clerk recruitment process only when there is a vacancy, rather than on a fixed annual cycle.
