Frequently Asked Questions related to the Southern Oregon Facilitation Initiative (SOFI).
SOFI is a regionalized approach to facilitation. Our resources will help increase access to justice and work toward ensuring that self-represented parties have access to family law facilitation in all our Southern Oregon courthouses. Our SOFI goal is to have a meaningful impact on parties and families in need of assistance in rural areas where those resources are not as available.
SOFI family law facilitators are not attorneys, they can assist any self-represented litigant with questions regarding family law case types for any of our participating counties including Coos, Curry, Douglas, Grant, Harney, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lake and Malheur Counties.
Yes, SOFI is an additional resource for your court, you may use your local services as they are available. You can find your local court information by clicking the Select Your Local Court link on our main page.
