Oregon Appellate eFile - Terms & Conditions

By indicating that you agree, and clicking the "continue" on the registration form, the registered user ("user") of the Oregon appellate courts' electronic filing system agrees to the following terms and conditions:

User agrees to follow all applicable statutes, rules, and court orders regarding the electronic filing of documents with the Oregon appellate courts, including rules regarding protection of personal and confidential information.

User agrees that he/she is responsible for the proper use and safekeeping of his/her username and password. User agrees that he/she is solely responsible for all activities that occur under his/her username and password. User agrees that his/her username and password constitute the signature of the eFiler. User agrees to notify the court immediately of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of his/her username or password. User acknowledges that suspected misuse of a username and password may result in suspension of electronic filing privileges.

User agrees to take any and all reasonable steps to ensure that his/her electronic filing contains no malicious computer code or viruses that might be harmful to the electronic filing system.

User agrees to update the Oregon State Bar and Appellate Records Section of the Oregon appellate courts as to any changes in a user's contact information, including the user's email address or the email address of any person whom the user has designated to receive email notices regarding electronically filed documents. The electronic filing system uses email for notices, and the courts will not send hard copies of notices regarding electronically filed documents.

User agrees to review and comply with the technical requirements of electronic filing, as provided at https://www.courts.oregon.gov/services/online/Pages/appellate-efile.aspx

User accepts responsibility for ensuring that user's equipment is compatible with the requirements of the appellate courts' electronic filing system.

The Oregon appellate courts' electronic filing system may, from time to time, be unavailable due to regularly scheduled maintenance or due to unexpected system problems. As provided by applicable rule, the courts may allow an electronically filed document to be deemed timely filed when system problems occur. The courts disclaim any liability due to the unavailability of the electronic filing system.
