Jackson County Circuit Court traffic and violation arraignments are scheduled every Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM. However, you may appear on your citation to enter a plea or request a trial at any time during the week between working hours. Our Violations Bureau Clerk can assist you in resolving the charges on your citation. The clerk’s office is located on the first floor of the Jackson County Justice Building in Medford, Oregon.
You may request a trial by mail or in person at the court traffic window on or before the day and time written on the front of the citation to plead not guilty and request a trial. To request a trial by mail, sign and date the back of your summons AND submit a written request for a trial before the day and time the citation requires you to appear in court. Please include your telephone number. If you respond by mail, the mail must arrive at the court before you are required to appear. When pleading Not Guilty you also have the option to waive your personal appearance by requesting a trial by declaration. If you want to have a trial by declaration, please contact the court in person or by telephone to request the forms. The trial by declaration forms will be mailed to you.
