Family Law Facilitator

The family law facilitator helps people who do not have an attorney file their divorce paperwork.  The program facilitator can only assist the person who starts the case and can only help the person that starts the case until the other person files an answer or response in the case.   The program facilitator is not an attorney, therefore NO LEGAL ASSISTANCE or ADVICE, will be provided. The program facilitator is only able to assist in the completion of the forms and providing information regarding Court procedures.

The program facilitator only provides assistance to the person starting a divorce case and does not provide assistance for:

  • preparing and filing a response to a petition for divorce,
  • modifying an existing divorce decree, or
  • modifying or enforcing a child custody or child support order.

To schedule an appointment and find out more information about the process, contact the program facilitator.  Most of the program facilitator's time is spent with clients and therefore it may be difficult to reach the program facilitator by phone. Please leave only one message.  Staff will try to return your call within two (2) working days of your message.  Calls are returned in the order they are received.

The program facilitator's office is on the first floor of the courthouse.
