Supplementary Local Rules (SLRs)
SLRs are the rules adopted by Circuit Courts to govern local practice. SLRs must be consistent with Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCRs), State Law, and Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure. Below listed are the SLRs for the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for Multnomah County, the Fourth Judicial District.

Please note, the 2018 Draft Supplementary Local Rules for the Fourth Judicial District, which will become effective February 1, 2018, are available for review and comment. These rules will be submitted to the State Court Administrator on September 1, 2017. Comments or questions about the proposed changes can be sent to the following email address:

Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCRs)
UTCRs are Chief Justice's rules, for all Oregon circuit courts, that promote court time efficiency and uniform practice in every judicial district. UTCRs are consistent with State Law and Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure.

Effective Dates
UTCRs and SLRs, and their proposed changes, are reviewed annually by UTCR Committee and then presented to Chief Justice for final authority. Unless disapproved by Chief Justice, each year:
SLRs take effect on February 1, and
UTCRs take effect on August 1.
