Courtroom Technology

The 24th Judicial District, Harney and Grant Counties, is committed to providing fair, accessible, and timely justice to promote the rule of law, protect individual rights and resolve conflicts.  With technology in our courtrooms we strive to:

  • Improve the quality of courtroom litigation
  • Reduce litigant costs
  • Improve access to justice
  • Strengthen public trust & confidence
Courtroom technologies and services are available to parties without cost.
  • Parties must schedule, in advance of any trial or hearing, an appointment to test equipment and media format for compatibility with the courtroom equipment.  Please contact the court in Grant at Grant.Court.Staff@ojd.state.or.us and in Harney at Harney.Court.Staff@ojd.state.or.us to set an appointment.
  • Laptop computers can connect to the courtroom’s display systems.  A court provided VGA or HDMI device is plugged into your laptop
  • Large flat screens and Blu-Ray players are available in the courtrooms
  • Teleconferencing is available with the limitation of two incoming phone lines.  If more than two parties will be attending a hearing telephonically they will need to conference call together prior to calling into the court or set up a conference call for all parties, including the court.
  • Video conferencing is available.  If the connection is outside of OJD’s state network, arrangements will need to be made for testing the connection between the connecting parties.   Please contact the court at the above e-mail to arrange for the testing.
