Payment Options and Information

NOTICE OF CHARGE TO SEND OR RECEIVE DOCUMENTS VIA FAX:

We charge $2 for the first page and $1 for each subsequent page to SEND OR RECEIVE documents via fax (including receipts). Please do not send facsimile documents to the court without calling and paying the fee first, or your documents will be disregarded. Please note that in most cases, our judges will not consider copies or facsimile documents, but require an original including an indication that other parties have been provided a copy of the document(s) before consideration.

PAYMENTS can be made in the following ways:

  • BY CREDIT CARD ON-LINE: Available any time on most court cases, citations, and accounts; Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards accepted.

    NOTE:
    Criminal and some other cases require a personal appearance; if you have not yet appeared on a violation case, please read our Traffic page.

    - A processing fee will be assessed on each transaction;
    - Payments are processed and recorded on your case within one business day;
    - Case/citation or account number required for each transaction;
    - It may take 10-15 days for new citations to be available for on-line payment; if you recently received your citation and the number is not found, please check back before your appearance date;
    - Please call during business hours if you have further questions.
     
  • BY PHONE:  Visa or Mastercard credit or debit (during business hours). A receipt number will be given verbally; a written receipt can be mailed or faxed for an additional fee - please indicate if you need a physical receipt BEFORE paying so the additional amount can be added to your payment:

ADDITIONAL FEES

If your account is not paid in full within 25 days, an additional assessment will be added to your account as follows per ORS 1.202(1):

Balance of:  $    1 - $149.99:  $  50 fee
                  $150 - $399.99:  $125 fee
                  $400 or more:     $200 fee

If payment arrangements are not made or if your account is delinquent 45 days from the payment due date, the account will be turned over to a collection agency and an additional 28% collection fee will be added to your account per ORS 1.202 (2). It is your responsibility to assure your account is current and the court is not responsible for any mail delays, etc.

Per ORS 809.267, the court will add a $15 fee to the judgment in any case in which the court notifies the Department of Transportation requesting to suspend or restrict driving privileges for failure to pay a fine, failure to appear or comply with a court order.

RECORDS REQUESTS

Fees for court records are per page or per disk of electronic media. You may request records by completing the Records Request Form and delivering it to our court (see form for details) and paying for the copies.
