An individual will call impersonating a policeman from the Linn County Court. The individual will relay to those called that they failed to appear in court and a judge has filed a contempt in court, failure to appear, and other charges against the individual. They will cite three separate case numbers. They will be given options to rectify those charges. One of the options is calling a bonding company.  If they do not in 24 hours, they are told a warrant will be issued for the individual's arrest.
THIS IS A SCAM - If you receive a call, please do not provide any information or make payment.  Please contact the Linn County Jury Manager at (541) 967-3828 if you have any questions.
