Documents in newer court cases can be reviewed using the kiosk computers on the 1st floor in Room 107 at the Linn County Courthouse during
business hours. Older case files that have not been digitized can be reviewed by requesting the file in advance.
Court records that are not confidential or sealed are available to the public. Court staff is responsible for maintaining all documents in the local court files and assists the public with requests for copies of court documents. Record requests are handled on a first come, first serve basis.
Police Reports – The records are not maintained by the Court. Please contact the responding or arresting law enforcement agency.
Vital Statistics (Birth or Death Records) – These records are not maintained by the Court. Please contact the Vital Statistics Department at
541-967-3888 to obtain this type of information.
Marriage Licenses and Land Deeds – These records are not maintained by the Court. Please contact the Linn County Clerk’s Office at
541-967-3831 to obtain this type of information.
