JCIP Advisory Committee

Oregon’s Juvenile Court Improvement Program (JCIP) convenes its Advisory Committee on a quarterly basis to address the activities and projects that are coordinated with the program funds. The Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court appoints the members of the JCIP Advisory Committee. The JCIP Advisory Committee regularly reviews data regarding hearing timeliness, ICWA compliance and child welfare outcome data. In addition, the Advisory Committee reviews and revises JCIP goals, plans trainings and educational programs and provides feedback and participation in JCIP projects.

The JCIP Advisory Committee members are comprised of Circuit Court Judges from across Oregon, Tribal Representatives, representatives from the Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Welfare Programs, CASA, the Citizen Review Board, the Office of Public Defense Services, District Attorney Offices, the Governor’s Advocacy Office, as well as a foster parent and a foster youth.
