Supplementary Local Rules (SLR)
SLR are the rules adopted by Circuit Courts to govern local practice. SLR must be consistent with Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCR), State Law, and Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure. Below listed are the SLR for the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for Multnomah County, the Fourth Judicial District.

Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCR)
UTCR are Chief Justice's rules, for all Oregon circuit courts, that promote court time efficiency and uniform practice in every judicial district. UTCR are consistent with State Law and Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure.

Effective Dates
UTCR and SLR, and their proposed changes, are reviewed annually by UTCR Committee and then presented to Chief Justice for final authority. Unless disapproved by Chief Justice, each year:
SLR take effect on February 1, and
UTCR take effect on August 1.
